What a Pear Card

September 7, 2011 by Holly Gagnon 16 Comments

I’m referring to my Grandparents who are quite a pair!  They’ve been married for 68 years now, both are 87 years old and still going strong!When I decided to make them a Grandparents Day card my first thought was fruit.  There always piddling  around in their garden which includes about 8 pear trees.  I can hear my Grandpa now saying “We’ve got gobs and gobs of pears and I don’t know what we’re going to do with them all?”Of course, my grandma is a cannier but how many jars of pears can you keep in your cellar?

Pear Card made with Cricut Preserves

Pear Card

{This post contains affliate links}

To make this card, I used the Preserve cartridge and my Gypsy to weld the pear into card then added heat embossing powder to the stem  for texture and stamped a sentiment from My Pink Stamper .

I also wanted to send off some pics for Grandma to hang on her fridge {cute!}so I made an envelope to especially to fit this card.

Heart Embossed Pear Stem

 Using heat embossing powder adds unique texture on to die cuts.
