Laura Kelly has done it again, hosting a fun and creative Blog Hop, this time it’s all about the colors of the Rainbow. Ya know, like ROYGBIV. Laura challenged 16 crafty peeps to make a 95% monochromatic project out of the items sent. As you can see, I received the color Blue.
After lots and lots of thoughts and {day}dreams, I created my Dreaming Shades of Blue Frame.
Shades of Blue Frame
Laura sent various shades of blue in my package. Blue felt, buttons, glitter, fabric paint, Sharpie marker, gift bag, tissue paper, stickers and 2 blue Domino’s. {hello randomness!}
My blue Dream Frame came to life by spray painting a wood frame with Krylon Bonnet Blue spray paint then adhering chicken wire on to the back of the frame with a staple gun.
I made rolled flowers out of denim and felt using a felt flower tutorial I found on Pinterest and added blue buttons from Buttons Galore along with paint dots made from Tulip Royal Blue Slick Paint
The pennant banner is also made out of denim and felt and strung across the frame with blue and white twine.
The white in the twine is the only other color I added to my project besides the shades of blue. For realz. Not bad , huh???
I used the blue glitter on some American Crafts DIY Thickers, adhered them on the banner and my Dreaming Shades of Blue frame was complete.
Thanks again to Laura Kelly for hosting this Rainbow Hop and enter into the Rafflecopter for a chance to win a fun and colorful prize.
Nice job! Should have used some of that Blue Dream Marijuana and then created – oh the possibilities 🙂
I’m getting an all natural high from your beautiful project. LOL!

My Card Party
Fabric and flowers too of my best friends.
You could always use the blue dominos as feet to hold it up!
Very neat ideas. Love the flowers. I’ll have to look for that tutorial on Pintrest too. Didn’t know about the Blue Dream, so yes this was a very educational blog today!
Thank you for sharing
LOVE your Shades of Blue frame Holly – the chicken wire, banner & felt flowers look FABULOUS!!!
