Pretty Potted Plant Card

April 9, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 28 Comments

This weeks for challenge #106 at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge we want to see your projects that have buttons and bows on them.

I’ve always like potted geraniums.  They’re hardy flowers that produce lots of blooms except I find they have this weird smell….anyone know what I’m talking about?  Pee Yew!

I made this card for my Mom’s birthday, she always appreciates a handmade card from her daughter.   Now, I have to write “Happy Birthday Mom” because like any Mom would, she reads my blog.

Here’s how I made this A2 card:

Freshly Picked Cartridge– Flower, shadow, base and layer cut at 5 inches.
Core’dination’s paper embossed with wood grain folder and sanded.
Dots and bubbles embossing folders
Button & twine bow

White gel pen

Thanks for looking and linking up with our Buttons and Bows challenge this week at FCCB.

Beautiful card Holly! I also love geraniums and have always thought they had a strange smell about them. I’ve heard that the smell helps keep mosquitoes away. Don’t know if that’s really true or not, but they sure do make a lovely card!!

I love this card and will now have to make geraniumns from this cartridge. Especially love the added textures from the embossing folders and the white gel pen accents.
