Mini Album of a Big Adventure

The new “Issue” is up at Paper Issues this week and it’s a sketchy one.  A Simple Scrapper sketch that is.  Simple Scrapper is all about providing effective scrapbook solutions.  We could all use some simple solutions in life sometime don’t ya think?I technically don’t consider myself  a “scrapper”.  I’d usually be running from a sketch but since I’m a team player, I challenged myself  to play along with the Issue and make up a lil’ mini album using the sketch as my inspiration.  It helps too that we just got back from vacation and I had lots of photos to choose from.Summer Adventure Mini Album

We took a serious adventure this Summer.  When I say serious, I mean an 8K+ mile, cross-country road trip with the whole Fam and dog.  I told you it was serious.

To make this album, I used a Maya Road coaster mini album, a few of my fav IG shots and  Little Yellow Bicycle Vintage Summer  & Naturals collections to make my Instagrams purdy.

Simple Scrapper Sketch

Mini Album Road Trip

Since I made a mini, I was only able to use one photo per page but I did try and stick to the sketch as much as possible by adding titles, subtitles in the upper corners and my spin on the circle background.

 

Mini Album Beach

Can you see my spin on the titles, subtitles and circles per the sketch?  Geez, seeing these photos really makes me miss the beach.  I live in the desert.  Ain’t no beach here.  Well, an ocean beach that is.

 

Mini Album Canada

Little Yellow Bicycle Vintage Summer collection made this album so easy to embellish.  It really is a  great collection to use for Summertime photos.

More big titles, circles and subtitles found throughout my mini.    The cork hearts I used in the album are from Fancy Pants.  They come in stars too {swoon..}
Mini Album Elvis
Here’s a page on my cuties learning about the life of Elvis.  Since we live in Las Vegas it’s not unusual for the kids to see The King alive walking around. They really enjoyed their visit to Graceland too.
Mini Album of Big Adventure
This Mini Album of a Big Adventure turned out to be only a small snapshot of our trip.  Besides driving 8K+ miles, we were gone for 30 days, drove through 19 states, one province and stayed 13 nights in hotels.  We had lots of fun and lots of laundry!

  7. I love your mini. One of my favorite thing about it is how all your background papers have a border around them. I’m not sure I’ve seen that before.
