Shabby Chic Birdhouse

April 26, 2013 by Holly Gagnon 29 Comments

The Buttons Galore & More  design team gals and I are competing playing along in a Designer Birdhouse Challenge.  Readers can vote and comment for a chance to win prizes.  Sound like fun?

Here’s my cute lil’ Shabby Chic Birdhouse I created to play along with this challenge.   If I was a lil’ bird, fairy or even a cute bug, I’d totally live in this house.

Shabby Chic Birdhouse

I went all “Mixed Media” in decorating my birdhouse by using paints, textures, fabric and of course buttons from Button Galore & More.

Create denim flowers out of a pair old jeans

To make the denim flower, I used a Tim Holtz tattered flower die and attached a BGM Heirloom Keepsake button in the middle.

Use raffia for a natural design look

I wrapped my birdhouse in one of my favorite things, raffia then added this pretty BGM Angelic button on the bow.

If you totally {heart} the look of burlap, denim and raffia …..Vote for Me!!!  Kidding of course, but please do vote for one of the BGM designer so you’ll have the chance to win some prizes.
Now head over to :
Buttons Galore & More blog to VOTE.
