DIY Keep Calm and Teach On Teacher’s Plaque

May 2, 2013 by Holly Gagnon 3 Comments

The “Keep Calm” phase is really trendy right now and there are many unique versions of the phrase too.  My fav though is, “Keep Calm and Craft On”.  How can you ever go wrong with that?

Since  Teacher Appreciation Week is coming soon,  I thought it would be clever to take the Keep Calm and spin it in to a Techer Gift Idea since I know, my son’s 3rd grade teacher definitely  has many reason to take  deep breaths and Keep Calm in her classroom.

DIY Keep Calm and Teach On Teacher’s Plaque

To make this  DIY Keep Calm and Teach On Teacher’s Plaque, I spray painted a wood plaque red then adhered  Chalkboard paper on to it using continues Glue Lines from Glue Dots .   You could also paint the plaque with chalkboard paint.   I  used my Silhouette to cut out the 1″ letters and adhered them on the plaque using  Mini Glue Dots®

Keep Calm and Teach On Sign. Cute Teacher Ribbon Bow with a Apple Button

Since teachers and apples go together like PB &J,  I turned a large red button into an apple by trimming out a leaf and stem and adhered the apple button on to the bow using XL Glue Dots ®.  Cute huh?  I hope this  DIY Keep Calm and Teach On Teacher’s Plaque I made for my’s son’s Teacher’s reminds her daily to take deep breaths, and remember how important  it is to  just Keep Calm and Teach On!
