I caught the sewing bug last weekend. I like to sew but I’m not very good at it. It seems like every time I start a sewing project, it just takes longer than it should. Is this just me? Luckily, these Christmas Drop Cloth Pillows I made for my front porch didn’t take very long to make and turned out super cute. Yay Me!
Christmas Drop Cloth Pillows

To make the pillows, I used plain ole’ drop cloths that your find at the hardware store. I then eyeballed the length of the pillow I wanted, cut out the two pieces and zig -zag stitched them together leaving an opening for batting.
Since these pillows are meant to be casual outdoor pillows, I chose to keep the edges rough and frayed . Heck, who am I kidding? I’d display these suckers in my house too.
I used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut out an Echo Park Paper Reindeer cut file using of Silver Glitter Iron- On Heat Transfer then applied it on to the canvas pillows.
When I was finished applying my vinyl die cuts, I stuffed and fluffed the pillows with batting and used Fabric Fusion to close the opening. Remember, I told you how I’m not much of a sewer. Did you really think I would hand stitch the pillows closed?
Love the way these Christmas Drop Cloth Pillows turned out and I definitely don’t think this will be my last Drop Cloth project either.
