Succulents are such a unique and hardy plant to grow but guess what? I’ve actually killed every succulents I’ve owned before. Total Green Thumb Fail but I can however, make Pretty Paper Succulents.

Pretty Paper Succulents
I seriously hate that I am a plant killer. Ever since we moved to Nevada, I’ve had zero luck growing anything and this is coming from a gal who grew up in Florida and had a porch full of potted plants. I think it’s even worse to kill succulents when you live in the desert. Isn’t it like a hardy, desert plant?
Either way, paper succulents for the win and not only are the succulents paper, the boxes I adhered them on are made of paper too, wood veneer paper. I know, totally look like wood blocks.
I used my Silhouette CAMEO and a 3D Succulent cut file to cut out the petals using various green papers from Pebbles Inc Cottage Living collection. I curled and inked the edges of the petals for dimension then adhered the layers together with Ultra Thin Glue Dots.
The bases of the succulents are also cut with my Silhouette and a 3D Flower Green Box cut file using BARC Wood Paper in Cherry and White Birch from Arc Crafts. The wood veneer paper is really easy to cut too. I set the machine at Heavy Cardstock with a Blade depth of 9 then used scoring tape to adhere the boxes together and inked the edges with brown stamping ink.
Now these are totally Succulents I can keep around for a while. They make great home decor accents. Now, if you do have a green thumb yourself, succulents are great and inexpensive gift idea too. I gave my kids teacher’s this easy Succulent Gift with Printable last year during Teacher’s Week.

April 9, 2016 at 9:26 amI LOVE these paper succulents!!! (But I don’t have the “machinery” to do them. I might find the gumption to try them by hand… a heart template might help…). The heart garland & rolled paper wreath are neat ideas, too!
