Flower Pot Box Card...

Have you seen all the neat pop-up Box Cards cut files by Lori Whitlock?  I was browsing through the in the Silhouette store the other day and Lori's Flower Pot Box Card cut file stirred up my inner-card making self.

I used to make cards all the time when I first started blogging.  I mean a lotta of cards.  I made all sorts of fancy cards with no intention of every sending to anyone.  Not many people can appreciate all the time and effort that goes into a detailed card and the thought of my creation getting tossed into the circular file just ain't happening.   This is why I have 2 big boxes full of cards stashed.

My Mom celebrated her birthday recently and  since Mama's always appreciate there kids card making efforts, I made her a Flower Pot  box card to using Pebbles Inc Garden Party collection.

Instead of using the flower dies that came with the cut file, I changed it up a bit and used the die cut flower shapes found in Garden Party collection along with pretty buttons from Buttons Galore.

So cool how the Flower Pot Box Card  says flat when closed and will fit into a A2 envelope.

When I mailed the card off, I was sorta worried that she may not be able to figure out how to open the Flower Pot Box Card but she did and texted me a pic of it displayed.
