Hello crafty friends and welcome to "A Lovely Blog Hop" which will be chocked full of Valentines inspiration as well as some very Lovely Ladies along the way.
If you just fell upon my blog, head over to Jill from Every Day is an Occasion to start from the beginning.
So, I'm one of those people who likes to decorate the guest bathroom for various holidays. Yes, I go all out with the matching towels, soaps, tissues, bath mat, shower curtain and of course a door hanger to tie it all together.
Since my Owl Love You Wreath is still at Northridge Publishing waiting to come home to me, I needed to make something else this year to hang up on the bathroom door. Here's what I came up with...{love}.
My original idea was to wrap this entire chipboard plaque that I spray painted white with yarn. Well, that idea was short lived since I found it very difficult to wrap these letters in yarn. I did satisfy my yarn wrapping fix by just wrapping the letter "O". That was the easy letter.
I used Mod Podge to adhere the pretty Valentines paper on the other letters that did not play nice with my yarn. Then added a few die cut hearts and made a paper ribbon flower.
My door hanger still needed some more love so I adhered little buttons using Ultra Thin Glue Dots®, curled some green wire and added a pink crinkle ribbon to hang it up. {love!}
So what's a Blog Hop with out Blog Candy?
Anyone want to win this Wellies Boot Chipboard album and silly mustache embellishments?

ReplyDeleteHa! I love the story about how only letter got wrapped! Those little buggars can be so hard to do, so I hear you! However, I think it looks perfect, like you had planned it that way! I L-O-V-E this! My favorite is the buttons and the heart that you filled with the buttons! You knock this one out of the park and you can thank Northridge for not getting your other project back so you could be inspired to make this one!
