I See a Ghost......

     Since Halloween's almost here, I'm sharing the last of my Halloween projects.  I'm posting two different type of cards in one post mainly because I don't want to come up with another catchy blog title!         

I've really enjoyed making all my Halloween decorations this year. Obviously, because I've posted 12 Halloween projects on my blog! Now on to some Thanksgiving Decor and of course Christmas- Yikes!!

This card was a challenge for me since I was only able to use black and orange.  I kept wanting to add purple or green but I stuck to the challenge.  

The card base is cut from Wild Card and I glued a transparency on the window so it looks like the ghost is looking through one.   The sentiments are from Bug Bites and of course the ghost is cut from Mini Monsters.  I really wanted to put the ghost on a wobble but I didn't have one so I had to use pop-dots instead.  The card still seemed to simple for me so I added some texture embossed stitching and  black and orange twine.

I like how this picture turned out, the glare makes the ghost look like you can see him in a mirror.  Spooooky!  If I make this card again I'm going definitely going to put the ghost on a wobble.

Here's a Few More Ghostly Cards.....

I made these simple tri-fold cards from extra Halloween paper and die-cut scraps that were laying around.   I really like the look of these triangular tri-fold cards- clean and simple. 

The ghost and spider are from Paper Doll Dress Up and I used ribbon as a belly band to keep the card closed.  I added some texture embossing to the inside for dimension and again I stamped a Halloween sentiment from Bug Bites.

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #57 - Fall Wreath

Welcome to Cooking with Cricut Challenge #57- Scarecrows, Hay, Crows and Sketches.
     I decided to share a Fall wreath that I made for a friend.  I've made a few of these wreaths now and I always enjoy designing them despite being "burned to heck" by my glue gun!  They're really easy to make and the decorating possibilities are always endless!

   The "Fall Blessings" sentiment is from K. Andrew Fall-O-Oween stamps.  How cute is the little Scarecrow?  He's cut from Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons.  I made his clothes out of scraps, added some buttons and raffia to dress him up.  I used googly eyes instead of buttons for eyes this time to make him really ready to scare some crows.

 The Fall paper is from Recollections.  I know I've mentioned this before but I just LOVE this paper pack!  I wish I would of bought two!

The buttons are from "Big Bag of Buttons" at Walmart.  I love the way this wreath turned out. It was hard to give it away but I'm thankful for my friend.

Cooking With Cricut- Adopt a Pet Blog Hop

   Hi Everyone!  It's Holly here from Ribbons and Glue and the Cooking With Cricut  "Adopt a Shelter Pet" Blog Hop! As you know by now, October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month but how can we leave out our other furry friends?   Come join us and celebrate any four legged friend you may have!

Now, for my little furry friends project.  I decided to make bookmarks.  I know when I sit down with a good book, (which to me is anything by Nicholas Sparks) my old friend Sammy loves to cuddle right next to me.  

The animals are cut from Animal Kingdom using the bookmark icon.  I then used my Gypsy to layer the dogs and cats.  The bookmarks measures at 7 and 1-1/2 inches  The sentiment stamps are from Pink By Design and I've just been waiting to have a reason to use that Hot Dog Stamp! My Sammy, is a fat "Hot Diggity Dog".

Instead of offering Blog Candy to a follower, I've decided to donate some crafting supplies to a fellow scrapper who's helping out a few ladies who lost there crafting supplies.  Here's a link of Deborah's blog who's organizing the donations, Scrapping Mamma  Please check it out if you can because Random Acts of Kindness are the best!

Fall is Here......

     Sharing a Triangular Tri-Fold card that made today to enter into a few challenges.  I just love this Fall paper pack from Recollections, lots of pretty sparkles!

The card measures 3-1/2 x 10 inches and is scored at 7.33 on each end to make the triangular fold.  I used ribbon for a belly band , added some buttons and stamped a few Fall sentiments to make this simple Fall card.  This is how the card looks when opened.

Link Up the Love Party with K. Andrews......Halloween Wreath

    I'm Linking and Loving one of my favorite Halloween decorations with  Getting Cricky with K. Andrews.   These Link Up Love Party's are a fun way to get to know each other and find new blog inspiration.

I just love to make these rosette wreaths. They are so simple to make and the possibilities are endless!

I used Kristals' Fall-O-oween stamps for the sentiments and incorporated my kids as the little spiders. Eeekkkk! We actually hate spiders but at least there cute ones!

A Spooky Welcome........

     Yeah- I'm finally sharing my Halloween centerpiece that's completed!  If you've been following my blog over the past month, my idea started with a single pumpkin, then a ghost, a witch and a bat all flew into the mix.

The 3D pieces are glued on dowels which are stuck into foam core. I decided to go with a simple purple bucket and wrap a big Halloween Bow around it.

Trick or Treat Boo Bags.....

      Just sharing a few (of the many) Halloween treat's that I'm making for my kid's classrooms.  I probably need to make about 30 more and since Halloween is still a few weeks away, I'm hoping the candy will last too!

     

     I kept telling myself to keep it simple.  These will be for children between the ages of 4-8 years old and will end up in the trash in about 15 seconds!
      I textured embossed black card stock with circles then layered with scallop edged orange card stock.   I used purple heat embossing powder for the BOO stamp and added some googly eyes and a tulle bow for a little more spooky fun. 

I may or may not be doing some "dumpster diving" after my kids classroom Halloween party....LOL

Cooking with Cricut Challenge # 55-Teddy Bear Hugs......

      Yeah!  I'm on CWC design team!  Thanks Melin for adding me to your talented team!  The challenge this week for  CWC Challenge #55-Cake, Cupcake or Teddy is to create a project using one or more of these items.  I choose to create a cute teddy bear card which could be used for a little girl's birthday or for the arrival of a baby girl.

I cut the bear from Doodlecharms, added some texture embossing and scalloped the edge of the card. I thought the sentiment "I could just squeeze you" from Getting Kricky with K. Andrews Food for Thought stamps was fitting for a teddy bear hug.

A Batty Boo to You.....

  I think is my favorite Halloween project that I've made so far.  I designed the whole thing on my Gypsy during road trip.  I just love my Gypsy! 

The base and layers of the banner are cut from Gypsy Wanderings and I used my crimper on the purple layer to add some texture.  The boy and girl bats, which represents my kids, are cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and the BOO lettering is from Storybook which is also textured embossed.  I used Mini Monsters to add the additional pumpkin and spider webs.

Hoo's Birthday.......

    I haven't posted a card in awhile so I decided to play with my Hoot -N-Holler cartridge to make this little owl card.

I welded the card base on my Gypsy and cut the owl and branch from the Hoot and Holler Lite cartridge.  I added some google eyes, a little birthday ribbon bow, stamped a sentiment and this pretty little thing is just sitting around thinking of "Hoo's Birthday" it is.

Harvest Blessings.......Featured Blogger for Getting Cricky.

     I'm just thrilled to be a featured blogger for Getting Cricky with K. Andrews!  Thank you Kristal for asking!    
     One of my previous projects, The Cutest Little Jack-O-Lantern received a lot of feedback so I decided to design another pumpkin project creating  "My Own Pumpkin Family" using Kristal's Fall-O-Oween stamps.  My own little pumpkin family includes a Daddy, Mommy, Brother, Sister and a fat daschund, Sammy.

I took a shoe box lid and covered it with grass and fencing, cut from the Paper Doll cartridge.  The pumpkin's are cut from 12- scallops circles, folded and glued together.  My "not-so-scary" Scarecrow is from Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons and I decorated him with raffia, buttons and scraps,  I used the 50 States Cartridge to cut the black birds and choose the sentiment " Harvest Blessings" from Kristal's Fall-O-Oween large stamp set.

 

 

The pumpkins are cut at 3 inches, 2 1/2 inches and 1 inch.

The most important tip on making these folded pumpkins is to make sure your scallop cut is symmetrical.  Otherwise, you'll find yourself going crazy trying to get the sides to line up correctly!  I used the scallop cut from Alphalicious for mine.  I inked the edges, hand folded each circle then added a stem, leaves and some curled vine to individualize each one.

These are "My Harvest Blessings"....Daddy with little hair (hee hee), Mommy with bling, Big Bro with blonde spikes, Lil' Sis with a button bow and of course our fat little dog, Sammy, has the crow on her back.

A Little Batty.......

    I've finally created the last piece in my Halloween centerpiece that I've been working on.  Yeah!  This little Vampire Bat will join his friends:  Jack, Miss. Ghost and Ms Witch soon. 

    
Like my  Jack-O-Lantern, the bat's body is cut from 12- 3inch scallop circles, folded and glued together.  I attached the bat wings from another bat that was enlarged using Paper Doll Dress-Up.  I then stuck  him on a dowel, added a vampire mouth, some googly eyes and tulle ribbons to make him really "To Cute to Spook"

Since it's now October, I hoping to get the whole centerpiece arranged soon and post some photos. Yeah!

     Wow, can't believe I'm already making a Christmas Card.  I haven't even finished my Halloween projects yet!

I used Christmas Cheer on my Gypsy to cut the fireplace and stockings.  I added some textured and heat embossing to the fireplace to look like stone, attached some twine and buttons to hold the little stocking and used some glitter to make the fire sparkle.  So Cozy!
