Baby Autumn.......

I made this shadow box as a gift for my girlfriend who's expecting a baby girl named Autumn.  My inspiration came from her nursery colors red, black and white.  It felt weird making a baby project for a girl using black and red without any pink, but this is what I came up with.
I'm sharing this with:

The layout will go into a 12x12 shadow box which isn't pictured because of the glass glare.  The tree is from Cindy Loo and the cute birds, which surprisingly, match the birds in the bedding perfectly are cut from Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons.  I also added a black polka dot ribbon and made a flower embellishment to go along with her nursery theme.  The baby's name is, Autumn, so I choose to display her name in a large font from Opposites Attracts.

My friend was really happy to receive a unique and special gift for her daughter's nursery.  She was also happy that she didn't receive anymore onesie's. :-)

Hocus Pocus....Guest Designer for Bug Bites!

Hello again, I'm sharing a few more Halloween creations that I made for Barb from Bug Bites with her new Magic Spells stamps.   My last project using the new Bug Bites stamps was Witch Parking so, to continue with my witch theme, I designed a 3-D witch and a cauldron card.  I just love all these Halloween Home-Decor I've made!

The witch is actually cut from a egg carton...I know it's a kids project idea- Eeeek!    She's going to be added along with a Ghost and Jack-O-Lantern in my centerpiece.

I spray painted her lime green, turned a party hat from Batman cartridge into a witch's hat, curled some paper hair, added a few warts, stamped Hocus Pocus then glued her on a dowel and Poof....she's all ready to cast some magic spells.

The cauldron card is cut from Mini Monster's.  I textured embossed the cauldron and made a tag from TBBM to add the magic spell stamp on.  The green potion is heat embossed with lime green powder and now the bubbly potion is ready to serve.

I really enjoyed this opportunity to create something with Barb's new Magic Spells stamps.  Very creative stamps, definitely worth the purchase!

Thanks for looking and wishing you many Magic Spells.

Leaves of Fall........

I decided to take a break on some Halloween projects that I've been working on to create a Fall Shaker Box Card to enter into some challenges.

The shaker box is cut from TBBM and I used my Gypsy to weld the leaf on the front.  I decided to fill the box with different color leaves, red, yellow, brown, green and orange, per CWC challenge.  I glued a piece of transparency under the leaf, added some Raffia clippings inside for additional bulk and used it to tie the button bow.  The "Fall" sentiment is cut from Creative Memories Cheerful  Seasons.

Since this is a shaker box that I wanted to make into a card, I attached an additional piece of card stock on back.  I used the left over leaf cut from the front to stamp my "Thinking of You" sentiment on.

Witch Parking Only....Guest Designer for Bug Bites!

I'm so thrilled that Barb from Bug Bites asked me to play along with her new Magic Spells stamps. So fun! I decided to go with a witch theme so here's a medallion wall/door hanger that I  made with Barb's new Magic Spells stamps.

The medallions are made from 24" long, 3 1/2 wide strips folded.   I attached the 3 medallions  together with twine, cut the witch and spooky tree from the Celebrate the Occasion Lite cartridge and the toad is cut from Mini Monster's.

So, if you park here, you will be toad-Poof!
Check back soon for my next project post using Bug Bites Magic Spells stamps.

Cute and Scary....Aaargh!

I can't decide if my pirate is scary or cute?   I've been playing with my Mini Monster's cartridge lately and since it there's a pirate cut, I thought I make him to share in a few challenges.

I embossed the pirate to look crusty, added a brad as a earring and put a bat on his eye patch instead of a skull and bones.  I guess if something like this rang my doorbell, I'd give him all my candy.

Boo to You.......

How cute is this little ghost?  Eeek!   I've been working on a Halloween Centerpiece so I made this ghost to go along with  the Jack-O-Lantern in my arrangement.

The ghost is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up, 10 times at 5 inches each.  To make the lower parts of the ghost they need to be folded in half manually rather than scoring because you want to make sure the  edges lines up correctly.  I used my Gypsy to hide the eyes on the ghost and used a black marker to highlight the lower area marks.   Then, I just added some google eyes and tulle to make this cute little Boo.....

A Little Boo........

I made these little 4x4 Halloween cards to enter into a few challenges:

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge- Small Card
Frosted Designs- Punches

Since the cards were required to be small per the CAS challenge, I decided to go ahead and use the rest of the green paper to make a few more cards.   I used a 2" square punch for the stamped and embossed sentiments. Then, just added some black lace with a rhinestone ribbon to have a few simple and fun Halloween cards handy.

Happy Fall Ya'll.......

Just received my Pink By Design Everyday stamps in the mail a few days ago so I finally got a chance to play with them. I'm entering this Fall card into:

Scrappy Moms-Country Life    (I don't have this Lite cartridge but the acorns, leaves and sentiment reminds me of country life.)

The acorn and leaves are cut from Doodlecharms and of course the sentiment is from Pink By Design stamps.

School Under the Sea.........

My son's 2nd grade classroom has a ocean theme.  I wanted to make something for his classroom and teacher that went along with the classroom decorations.  I decided to make a pencil holder with sea creature toppers.

The sea creatures are cut and welded together from Life's a Beach Cartridge and the name post is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. The beach bin is from the $1 area in Target, I just love that area! I added some sea glass to look like water, attached some ribbon and googly eyes to make this pencil holder a unique school of creatures under the sea.

The green fish I made especially for my son so when he looks at it he will know is Mommy is thinking of him. :-)

The Cutest Little Jack-O-Lantern........

Don't you just love it when you create something you never meant to create in the first place?  Well, that's how this little pumpkin was born!

The initial idea came from Shelly @ My Paper Love who used her little pumpkins as place settings.   I wanted see how a  larger pumpkin would look so the idea then turned into a Jack-O-Lantern.  My eventual plan is to add her into a Halloween Centerpiece with some more Halloween friends.

I scored and glued 12-4" scalloped circled cut from Gypsy Wanderings.  The leaves are cut from Doodlecharms and I attached some rolled paper as vines.  The pumpkin didn't want to stand up straight so I decided to stick her on a dowel (which is where the centerpiece idea came from) and I attach some fun purple and black tulle as ribbon.

I can't wait to get working on the rest of the centerpiece.  Maybe, I'll make a whole pumpkin family?  Hmmmm.....so many ideas, just not enough time.

Happy Birthday to my Sis.......

Thanks to the inspiration from Judy @ Crafty Jar, I wanted to add my twist on her accordion design for my sister's birthday card.   Instead of decorating with die-cuts, I wanted to add photos since my sister recently had a baby.

I cut the scalloped squares and Happy Birthday from Gypsy Wanderings and attached them together with twine.  I added ribbons, embellishments and stamped sentiments to make my sister a unique card.

What a Pear.......

I'm referring to my Grandparents who are quite a pair!  They've been married for 68 years now, both are 87 years old and still going strong!

When I decided to make them a Grandparents Day card my first thought was fruit.  There always piddling  around in there vegetable garden which includes about 8 pear trees.  I can just hear my Grandpa now saying "We've got gobs and gobs of pears and I don't know what going to do with them all?"  Of course, my grandma is a canner but how many jars of pears can you keep in your cellar?

I cut and welded the pear into a card from the Preserve cartridge.  I stamped a sentiment from My Pink Stamper and attached it with some twine then heat embossed the stem and leave to add some texture.  The envelope is  hand-cut especially to fit this card so I can include some photographs that my Grandparents can hang on there fridge.

For My Little Friends...

I made these mini-album's for my little friend's next door who just happen to be 9 and 7 years old. I recently shared another project, Flowers for a Friend, that I made for there mom who was also a dear friend to me.

Mini Albums for Kids

I first have to give thanks to Rhonda from Scrap Happens for sharing some tips on how to make mini-albums. She makes awesome albums, check out her blog!

Audrey's album is cut from the Hello Kitty Cartridge and has a butterfly page which fits into the Getting Cricky -Winged challenge.   Ethan's likes bugs, so his album is cut from Doodlecharms and also contains a few winged friends.

Butterfly and Strawberry Mini Album Pages

I added some photo on a few pages and left other pages blank so the kids can add there own photos.

Bugs and Frog Mini Album Pages

I enjoyed making these albums and will definitely make more.  They did take a lot of cuts and layers to look right though.  I added google eyes, ribbons, embossed some layers and stamped some sentiments to make these albums really special for them.

Rainbow and Flower Mini Album Pages

There mom would of loved them.

Sew it's your Birthday......

I actually don't  know how to sew.  It would take me at least 20-30 minutes to sew on a button or patch!  So, using my faux sewing techniques, I'm entering this into My Craft Spot Challenge #23- Sew Much Fun and a few other challenges over at:

Birthday Sundaes- Inspiration Photo Challenge
Celebrate the Occasion #28-Sketch
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge -Splash of Color- Yellow

The card design follows the sketch for the Celebrate the Occasion challenge. The colors and cupcake are chosen from the Birthday Sundaes Inspiration photo.  I used Doodlecharms Cartridge to cut the cupcake and I just happened to have some stitched ribbon that matched the card colors perfectly.
