Dream Away.......

     I was planning on taking a break from entering any challenges this week, I just wasn't feeling it and I've been posting like everyday!  Then, I realized it's hard to take a break, I'm one of those obsessed paper crafters that needs to make something to feed my addiction.   Do they make a pill for this problem?  Hmmmm....


 Anyways, I made this card for a Relax/Transportation/Splish Splash challenge.   I think of a cruise ship when it comes to water, relaxing and travel.  I can imagine myself out on the deck, laying in the sun, listening to the ocean, dreaming about paper crafting.  LOL..

I used Summer Vacation for my Cruise ship, added a wave sticker per the CAS-ual Friday Challenge and a dream sentiment as my inspiration for Whimsical Wednesday.

It's your day....Smile!

    I designed "Miss Croc" to enter her into "It's a Jungle Out There" challenges for Cricut Cardz Challenge #89 and Love to Crop Challenge.

   Miss Croc's head is cut and welded together from the Animal Kingdom cartridge.  I added some glitter to make her teeth and eyelashes sparkle. Stamped a sentiment, attached an animal print bow and she's all smiles for her birthday.

Guest Designer for a Bridal Luncheon..........

I'm excited to share my creations as a guest designer for Decorate to Celebrate this week.  The challenge this week is to design a Wedding, Bridal Shower or Engagement Party Theme. I decided to decorate for a Bridal Luncheon to show appreciation for those important ladies who will share in your special day.  

     I just love these bright and fun colors for a Summer wedding.  I designed a centerpiece arrangement, bridal party gift boxes, and napkins.

I used my Scor- Pal to create these bridal gift boxes that measure 4 1/2 x 5 3/4 and tied them with a matching bow.  I cut and embossed the gift tags from Tag's Bags and Boxes and used my Gypsy to weld the Opposite Attracts font.   I stamped a sentiment "Life's Sweeter with Friends" with white ink on the pink napkins.  

 

The centerpiece cuts are from the Sweetheart's and Life's a Party cartridges.  How about that hugh diamond which is  heat embossed with sparkle for some major BLING!

Hello Chick.......

  This may be my favorite card I've ever made!   Just check out her little red shoes, purse and matching headband!  I made this circle card for Celebrate the Occasion- Anything Occasion Card. 

The circle is welded together on my Gypsy from Wild Card, the cute little bird is from 3 Bird's on Parade and all her adorable accessories are cut from Paper Doll Dress Up.  I added some paper flowers, a bow and a simple stamped "Hello" and she's all ready to fly.

Birthday Tri-Fold Card......

  I've been playing with my Scor-Pal again and decided to make a Birthday card using only my scraps left over from another project.   I just love the colors Pink, Lime Green and White!

School Time...........

I made this cute Back to School card from the Locker Talk cartridge.  The clock hands are attached with a brad so they can be moved to change the time. My son's school starts at 9:05

Sweet and Simple......

I made this little cookie box to enter into a few fun challenges. I had many ideas on how to decorate this box but I just decided to keep it Sweet and Simple. 

The box is made out of only 3 colors (including the box paper) per the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge rules.  I made 3 cuts for the scallop, circle and sentiment.  I added the same ribbon in 3 different places as an embellishment.   Since this is a cookie box it could be brought to a picnic for the CWC challenge or given as a gift for My Craft Spot and contain ribbons per the paper Variety challenge.

You Take the Cake......

Sharing my cake card that I designed from 4 different cartridges. Oh, how I love using my Gyspy!

I used my Gypsy to weld two scalloped squares together along with the sentiment. I cut the cake from Sweet Treats and choose the sentiment from Just Because Cards.  I added some ribbon, texture and 3-brads for embellishments.

The envelope is cut from Sweethearts at Fit to Page 5 1/4".  I then lined the envelope with coordinating paper.

Birthday Buckaroo.....

 I designed this layout and birthday card for my friend's son who's turning 2!

Cricut 360' Challenge #7-Old West

   I used the Old West cartridge to make the wanted poster which is designed for a 5x7 photo of the birthday boy.  I heat embossed the WANTED letters, crimped the edges, added some brads and distressed with ink for an aged look.  I layered with burlap and twine and textured embossed the letter's to look like burlap.

Ride the Bus.......

  I made this tag for my son to keep inside his backpack as a reminder for when he needs to ride the bus home from school.  It could also be used as bookmark.  I haven't shown it to my son yet so he may make me take the ribbon off  .  LOL.....

I cut the school bus from Locker Talk last year and never used it since it was to big for my previous project but now it fit's perfectly onto this tag.

I hope my son let's me keep the ribbon on.

Straight from the Heart Challenge........

  Just purchased the Hoot 'n' Holler Lite cartridge tonight @ Walmart since it was on CLEARANCE for $20!!  I was so excited to play with it that I thought I'd make something for a challenge.

There challenge is to create a thank you card using hearts without the colors red or pink.

I made another challenge for myself and used only shades of green.  This cartridge is really cute and has a lot of cuts for a smaller cartridge so if you find it at your Walmart it's worth $20!

Bug Hugs.........

  I had fun making this little caterpillar card!

    I created my little caterpillar from the George Cartridge to cut the circles for the body, added google eyes and green pipe cleaners for his antenna's and stamp the card with a sentiment from My Pink Stamper.

   Sharing my Sailboat card creation that I'm entering into:

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #21- Birthday Card.

      This was a true challenge for myself to come up with an idea using a sailboat.  I decided on using the square card option off  Life's a Beach cartridge for the sailboat design.  I then used my Gypsy to cut out the square card and make the layers for the sailboat.

  I embossed the sailboat layers then used heat embossing powder on the mast and cabin.  I tore and chalked paper to make waves, added some red stickles and finished the card with a simple sentiment that can also be used as a birthday card.

Flowers for a Friend.........

     My dear neighbor  has been in the hospital for almost a month now due to a terminal illness.  Since she is physically unable to craft, she always loved to come over and see what I was working on.  I made this flower arrangement for her...

I used the George and Basic Shape Cartridge to make the layered flowers.  The flowers were glued on to dowels which are stuck into foam.  I tore green tissue paper to look like grass and choose a matching ribbon to wrap around the flower pot.  A simple stamp sentiment let's my friend know I'm thinking about her daily.
