Pink, Green and Fabulous.......

This is one of my favorite cards I've made!  I just love using the Paisley cartridge and what girl doesn't love animal prints?  I've given this card with a matching envelope to many of my girlfriends and I've never changed a thing.

I tore and chalked the paper matte, added a few prima flowers with a brad and some gem stones to make one "Fabulous" card.  The envelope with the matching liner is cut from Plantin Schoolbook.

Florida Oranges........

Since I grew up in Florida, the first thing I think of about the colors orange, green and white is an Orange or the Miami Hurricanes......LOL.......which I'm not a fan of by the way since I went to Florida State.  (Maybe there should be a Garnet and Gold Challenge?)

I made the orange from the Cricut Preserves cartridge and welded my own sentiment from Opposites Attract Font.  I embossed the word orange and special with orange embossing powder and I think the effect actually looks like a skin of an orange.

Wishing you many special days and thanks for looking!

Lobster Season.......

One of my favorite foods of summer is Lobster.  Fresh and yummy!

I choose this cute little lobster from the Pack Your Bags cartridge, added a cute sentiment and he's ready to enjoy.

I tore and chalked card stock to make the water and waves and stamped a sentiment from MPS on a sea shell which was cut from Paper Dolls Cartridge.

Butterflies of Summer......

My sister-in-law is getting married in a few weeks so as part of her wedding gift I framed her invitation and made a wedding card to match. I've given many of these shadow boxes as gifts over the years and the the recipients always love that I've preserved one of there memories from there special day.

I used Indie Art to make the 3-D butterflies along with tanzinite embossing powder to highlight the butterfly body. The weddding colors are turquoise, royal purple and silver.

To make the matching wedding card I used Gypsy Wanderings for the butterflies, welded together with a heart.

Cooking with Cricut....Cow Challenge

I didn't think I had a cow on any of my cartridges but of course thanks to a search on my Gypsy I found one!  Actually, I  had 3 cows to choose from.  I choose this cute little cow head from the Animal Kingdom cartridge along with a sentiment from Just Because Cards.

Spider Card

My son's friend is having a Spider man birthday and since Cricut doesn't have a cartridge for this, I had to get creative.

The spider is from Indie Art, which is a cartridge on my Gypsy that I've never used nor think of.  Thanks to Circut Search for the spider find on that one!  I  then used my Scor-Pal to make the embossed spider web pattern mat.   I think it turned out pretty cute even though I really dislike spiders!

Pokemon Cupcakes...

For my son's 7th birthday he wanted a Pokemon theme.   I just couldn't find any Pokemon stuff in the party store that I liked (or was worth the money) so I knew I could turn to my Cricut  to make something unique.

You've may have noticed that Pokemon characters are complex and some are rather ugly.

I decided to keep it simple and use the cute little beloved (easy) Pikachu.  I welded a circle and two triangles together on my Gypsy to make the Pikachu face and then used a hole punch for the red cheeks, black eyes and hand drew the mouth.

The Gate Poke-Balls are  red and white circles with another circle cut in half and glued on top.

I then glued the  Pikachu and Poke-Balls onto toothpicks and stuck them into the cupcakes.

I made my son's cupcake larger and cut a cupcake wrapper from Cricut Life's a Party cartridge.  Yes, his Pikachu topper is a Happy Meal toy....Gasp!

My son was thrilled with what his Mama came up with and of course his little friends loved the little Pokemon theme too.
